Jen Tagliaferri is a native Oregonian who grew up in the Portland area. After high school she attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for two years. While there, she studied Italian and decided she would like to study abroad in Italy. Her junior year in college she attended Syracuse University in Florence, Italy. Her second semester there she met Duccio and decided to stay an additional year to continue studying Italian at the University of Florence. After her second year in Italy, she and Duccio moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she attended Arizona State University. In 2006 she received her bachelor's degree in Italian Studies and after graduation, they moved back to Florence, Italy.

 

While in Florence, she worked for Gabriella Nanni - Gioielli d’Argento, a Florentine jeweler, located in a medieval tower between the Uffizzi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio that was built in the 1300s. In 2010 she and Duccio moved back to the US, landing in Phoenix briefly before ending up back in the Portland area.

 

After moving back to Portland, Jen enjoyed working in early childhood education at a local preschool. Jen started with Southside Soccer Club at the beginning of 2020.

 

Jen and Duccio have three daughters, Maddy (2009), Anna (2011) and Diletta (2016).
